Vista Aircraft Maintenance Van Nuys is seeking to hire a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Van Nuys, CA. The Maintenance Coordinator will quote, schedule, and coordinate all customer requested aircraft Inspections, maintenance, repairs, and alterations, planning, and monitoring performance of aircraft maintenance projects.
Vista Aircraft Maintenance is the in-house maintenance provider for Vista Members’ unrivaled fleet of over 300 aircraft worldwide, including light, super mid-size, long-range, and ultra-long-range models, with maintenance hubs strategically located across the U.S. and Europe.
This position reports to the General Manager and is 100% onsite.
The Maintenance Coordinator will quote, schedule, and coordinate all customer requested aircraft Inspections, maintenance, repairs, and alterations, planning, and monitoring performance of aircraft maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate, review, and manage customer quotes and estimates for inspections, maintenance, and alterations.
- Track project financials including initial deposits, cost changes, and budget impacts.
- Based on customer requests, coordinate with the parts department to pre-order required parts and service bulletin kits.
- Pre-arrange outside services to support scheduled work established with the customer.
- Organize and prepare complete work packages prior to aircraft arrival.
- Stay up to date with revisions to inspection requirements, changes in parts cost, warranty status of scheduled aircraft work, and additional discrepancies that may affect pricing and/or customer “down time”.
- Track and monitor project progress, produce accurate project status reports, including percentage completion of scheduled and un-scheduled work items.
- Identify and communicate risks impacting customer due dates; re-review ongoing projects as needed to meet customer expectations.
- Attend the daily crew lead meetings and is prepared to discuss pre-arranged services, parts/kit availability and other factors that influence the customer’s due-out schedule.
- Monitor scheduled work in progress and coordinate with Maintenance Manager, Parts, and Vendors to resolve workflow or material constraints.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Min 1 year of customer-facing experience in aviation maintenance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Experience in Part 145 corporate aircraft maintenance preferred. Gulfstream (G200, GIV, GV, G550, G650), Cessna 750, Challenger 300, Embraer experience a plus
