Among other duties, we are looking for a talented paralegal to help oversee, administer, improve, and continuously update our bespoke commercial contract repository. The primary focus and responsibility of this role will be the post-execution review, synthesis, and processing of complicated private jet flight services contracts and addenda in our contract module. The ideal candidate with be familiar with basic legal/contractual principles, able to distil legalese, and demonstrate an exacting attention to detail.  This position will work closely with stakeholders in Finance, Product, Sales and Tech to maintain a best-in-class system that prioritizes data fidelity.

 

This position will also support a wide range of day-to-day legal matters, from subpoena and litigation support to transaction work.   

Responsibilities

  • Develop a solid understanding of the company’s product and business goals.
  • Use and maintain the company’s document, template, and contract repositories.
  • Review client contracts to extract operational, legal and billing-related clauses (g., special terms, discounts, payment terms) and ensure data accuracy.
  • Oversee the review and data extraction from existing contracts.
  • Assess overdue accounts in partnership with Credit Control prior to legal escalation; prepare case summaries, including outstanding balances, collection history, and supporting documentation, for legal review and LBA issuance.
  • Manage the process regarding default tracking by coordinating with Commercial, Finance, and Legal to ensure timely follow-up on outstanding actions and proactive issue resolution.
  • Assist with the global litigation and legal portfolio (g., investigations, letters before action, cease & desists, e-discovery, mediations, subpoenas, SARs, settlements).
  • Prepare, organize and coordinate the creation of documents and the filing thereof.
  • Support the review, processing, and analysis of external counsel / vendor invoices.
  • Assist the team with administrative matters.
  • Organize meetings, take notes, and prepare actionable summaries for stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Between 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable contract experience.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills, with “No project too small” attitude.
  • Fastidious; pays meticulous attention to all details.
  • Self-starter – able to work autonomously from time-to-time.
  • Excellent English communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Responsive – able to monitor and engage with occasional work requests outside of standard working hours, particularly during peak periods (g., end of month, quarter and year).
  • Digital literacy with a robust understanding of business tools (MS Office, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.
  • Interest in Aviation, Luxury, and/or Travel.
  • Commercial debt resolution / litigation experience will be a bonus. 
  • Combination of law firm and in-house experience will be preferred.
