The Head of Data Science will define and lead the organization’s data strategy, leveraging machine learning and advanced analytics to drive growth, optimize operations, and enhance customer engagement. This role requires strong quantitative skills in statistics, machine learning, and operations research, along with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business solutions.

As a strategic leader, you will drive data innovation, collaborating with Business Leaders, Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to solve complex, high-impact challenges. You will mentor and grow a top-performing team while developing machine learning models and analytics frameworks to enhance fleet management, demand forecasting, and customer engagement.

This role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring data science initiatives align with business objectives and deliver measurable impact.

• Define and lead the data science strategy, aligning it with organizational objectives to drive growth, operational efficiency, and revenue opportunities through data-driven insights.

• Define and oversee the development of machine learning models to optimize fleet management, customer engagement, and overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the leadership team, product managers, and engineering teams to integrate data science into core business functions.
• Build predictive and prescriptive analytics frameworks to enhance decision-making at all levels of the organization.
• Champion the use of advanced analytics to create new revenue opportunities and improve customer experience.
• Establish key performance metrics and a robust measurement framework to track and communicate the business impact of data initiatives.
• Advocate for a data-driven culture across the organization through thought leadership, training, and best practices.
• Defining and evaluating key metrics for fleet network optimization
• Creating forecast models for demand and supply to enable fleet balancing
• Lead, build, and maintain machine learning models that are core to our success as a marketplace for private aviation.
• Performing customer segmentation and analysis based on various features to understand customer behaviors.
• Performing model evaluation and testing to improve accuracy and robustness
• Maintain and update machine learning models to stay ahead of the change
• Summarizing results and building dashboard to present findings to guide other stakeholders to make data driven decisions
• Work with product managers and engineers to turn prototypes into robust, reliable solutions
• Establish partnerships with external stakeholders, academia, and industry leaders to stay ahead of emerging trends in data science.

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading data-driven initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
• 5+ years of senior leadership experience, with the ability to build and scale high-performing teams, foster collaboration and inspire innovation.
• Expertise in machine learning, AI, and data analytics frameworks, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying predictive models.
• Experience in strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to influence business decisions at the highest levels.
• Expert knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with MLOps, data pipelines, and productionizing AI solutions.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in working with large-scale structured and unstructured data sources.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
